As Project Manager, Mike Figoli knows how to make a plan and execute it, or, as often happens in construction, be adaptable and make a new plan to get the job done. Having also been adaptable in his own life, Mike has a unique background and technical skill set that he brings to each Hardypond project. After serving in the army, Mike worked in telecommunications for over a decade. Mike holds an engineering degree from USM and a few patents from his time designing telecom and radar equipment. When taking a break from the telecommunications world, Mike turned his hobby of always building things into a career and ran his own residential construction business in the early 2000s as well, building over 150 homes and a dozen commercial buildings. After going back to the telecommunications field and working across New England as a company director, Mike was on the road 40 weeks out of the year and soon found himself ready to come back home to Maine. Originally from Hallowell, Mike is happy to now be working at a company like Hardypond with its culture of honesty and integrity. As a project manager who has had a hammer on his hip, Mike likes to lead by example and give his team opportunities to develop skills on the job. Mike has always learned by doing and knows the value of letting people succeed or fail on their own, but be there to help them when they need it.
In his free time, Mike enjoys working on projects around his Bridgton home, playing music, building furniture in his woodshop, or working on one of his classic cars. He has two kids and recently built a treehouse for his two grandkids who live in Waterford.
