Project Manager Position:

The Project Manager is responsible for preparing contracts and submittals, managing budgets and costs associated with the project.  The Project Manager is responsible for estimating, marketing and corresponding with architects, engineers and clients.

 Essential Functions:

  1. Manage the bidding process of a project and supplies a final bid to customer in a timely manner.
  2. Accountable for managing submittal process including follow up calls, ongoing communication and scheduling meetings with subcontractors.
  3. Understand all job plans and specifications intimately and identify potential gaps/problems in project early on and overcome obstacles with collaboration from the project team.
  4. Create and maintain overall project schedules.
  5. Create, maintain and update budgets and job related costs associate with project.
  6. Maintain ongoing communication with architects and engineers, owners and subcontractors to ensure deadlines are being met, project scheduling is accurate and records of communication are being maintained.
  7. Ensure a subcontractor/contractor agreement is created and retained. Ensure any additional related documentation is retained.
  8. Attend and actively participate in all Project Manager meetings.
  9. Create and submit monthly requisitions and lien waivers to owners to ensure proper cash flow.
  10. Coordinate and plan project close-out and turnover.
  11. Direct all Assistant Project Manager work assignments.
  12. Responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy working environment, and to take reasonable care of their own health and safety at work and of all other staff. Managers have a specific responsibility for the health and safety of their direct reports and other team members for which they have management responsibility.

 Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Project manager in construction, manufacturing or municipal industry is required.
  • OSHA certification is required.
  • Must be computer literate and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Word, Excel,
  • Working knowledge of construction management software is preferred.

 Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

  • Physical surrounding vary from typical office environment to periods of outdoor work, subject to all weather conditions in various locations.  Including exposure to noise, vibrations and potential hazards.
  • May spend extended periods operating desktop computer, requiring hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity; and communicating face-to-face, on the telephone and in writings.
  • Periodic physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting and stooping.
  • Up to 60% travel.
